We had a group of young parents for the 2.5 hour infant and child CPR course and held it in our home which made it really easy to do with a baby. What I really appreciated about Kevin’s course was (1) that we didn’t have to go out for an entire day course somewhere, we could get the key information that was important to us as parents in our own home (2) Kevin’s experience in emergency situations gave a refreshing reality check to the learning; while he taught the “textbook” CPR approach, he also helped us understand emergencies don’t always look like textbook scenarios so we need to focus on why and when we do CPR and first aid measures so we know how to adapt to different situations.
(3) because this particular course wasn’t a certificate course, we could ask the questions that mattered to us as parents rather than sticking to a strict course design.

After this short course, I feel way more confident to respond if/when my child is choking and know the other parents felt the same! Also appreciated the useful handout he brought.

While kids were left with sitters, there were a couple babies present and Kevin just rolled with it and the natural interruptions that meant. We can’t say how helpful this was to us as young parents!

We would 100% recommend this for new parents or parents of young children and grandparents who would be regularly watching your kids! Totally worth the cost (which was actually really reasonable when split between the 10 attendees).

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have taken a lot of First Aid Courses over the years but I highly recommend Northumberland CPR Training. Information from this course is taught in a way that included a lot of hands on training with simple instructions on life savings measures. A lot of this information was retained because of Kevin's teaching style and thorough instructions. I feel confident as a first aider if an emergency situation were to occur. Kevin is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
